2008 NFL Mock Draft - 2 Rounds

I couldn't say. I guess their excuse is that they didn't like Otah at that pick. It's going to be hard to really grade this move until we see what happens in the 09 draft now. Two first round picks is huge when the other belongs to Carolina. They could very easily be a 6-10 team next year. I really don't hate the trade just yet, and as far as paying Lito, there is no way they open THAT pandora's box. Then you would have to pay Westbrook too. Who know's though. I would tend to agree with you, how ever when they trade out the first round two years in a row, it starts to look like the Phils when the Bucks owned the team.

I know that they manage the cap well , but you have make anexception to the over 30 rule for your studs like Westbrook.

They were willing to pay for both Moss and also Chad, so why not take care of your own .

The Eagles don't "take care of their own" because they are arrogant jerks. If a player doesn't accept the low-ball offer they throw out then they are cut. Examples: Cory Simon, Jeremiah Trotter, Raheem Brock (draft pick), Bobby Taylor, Duce Staley, Michael Lewis, Derrick Burgess. It may be "good business" for Joe Banner's bottome line, but it will never get us a Super Bowl Championship.
